If you were there, thank you so much for coming. It was amazing to have our friends and supporters there for such a fantastic night. We had a lot to celebrate - our new partnership with FNAC for France, our equally new partnership with WH Smith in the UK, happy publishers, a killer team. If you weren't there, I guarantee whatever party you were at paled by comparison. And probably didn't have sweat-drenched dancing. (thanks to Cam and Nina - you should go into business! And stephen, the doorman who never failed.)

Steve Jobs on R&D spend, innovation and why Kobo keeps at it

At Kobo, we hear a lot of 

"[Amazon/Apple/B&N/Google] is [ten/twenty/a hundred] times bigger than Kobo. How can you possibly [compete/survive/look at yourselves in the mirror]?" And we've always kind of believed that bigger doesn't mean smarter, it just means bigger. Anyway, I stumbled across a quote in WSJ today that summed it up perfectly.
